vista age empires 3

Does any one know if the age of empires 3 game works with vista?? i installed it, it only loads up to the intro sequence befor i get a display message saying i dont have mp3 codec support, i downloaded an mp3 codec and installed it and vista still says it cant find the codec?
Any ideas would be appreciated

Try playing any old MP3 file via windows media player. If it cant find a codec it should in theory go on line and find one from Microsoft that is compatable with Vista. If WMP then plays the MP3 OK try your game again but if you still get errors forget it.
From what I have seen myself in the last few weeks most XP drivers will not work correctly with Vista, if something does not work after installation with the supplied drivers or drivers from Windows Update its probably not going to for the time being.
A lot of hardware and software is not going to work in Vista at present, its not ready yet and I think putting a XP game in a Vista Beta box is a little ambitious but hey you don't know till you try do you?
